ARQUITECTURA
Terrario Arquitectura is an architecture and urban planning studio founded in 2018, formed by Luis Bernardo, Ignacio Burgos and Ana Méndez, architects from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM). Their work, focused on conceptual rigor and understanding the social, material and environmental context in which their works are located, covers a wide range of scales: from the city and the territory to minimum housing.
The studio has been recognized in different competitions such as Europan, where they obtained a first prize and a special mention in the 15th and 17th editions respectively, or in the EVHA competition for the construction of 70 public housing units for affordable rent in Elche, where they obtained the 2nd prize. In addition, his project “Els Rajolars d’Oliva Urban Development Master Plan” was selected as a finalist for the 2024 New European Bauhaus Awards and has been awarded the 2024 Spanish Urban Planning Award from the Higher Council of Colleges of Architects of Spain.

BARCELÓ
Miquel Barceló Roca holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the UPC and a degree in Economics from the UB. He has had an outstanding career in the public and private sectors. He was Director General of the Catalan Institute of Technology (1987-1999) and Member of the Parliament of Catalonia (1999-2004), where he chaired the industry committee. Between 2004 and 2007, he chaired the 22@ Barcelona society, promoting the transformation of this district into a benchmark for urban innovation. In addition, he was an expert at the Directorate General for Regional Policy of the European Union (DGRegio) between 2014 and 2018, advising on regional RIS3 innovation strategies.
Currently, he is President of the consultancy firm Fractalogy.eu, Director of the UB MBI Master, member of the Advisory Board of 22@ Network, and Strategic Advisor of the Global Institute of Innovation Districts (GIID). He is also a partner at Pearson Fotovoltaica. His publications include Technological Innovation and Industry in Catalonia (1993), The Digital City (2002), Catalonia, an Industrial Country (2003), Complex Project Management (2013), INNOCITIES (2020) and Innovative Districts (2023).
JOSEP
ROCA
Josep Roca has a PhD in Architecture (1982) and has been a professor at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) since 1976. He held the position of director of the Centre for Land Policy and Valuations (CPSV) at the UPC between 1986 and 2022. A professor since 1989, Roca has led the Doctorate in Urban Management and Valuation (1988-2022) and the Master’s Degree in Urban Management and Valuation at the UPC (2006-2022). Since 2022, he has held the title of emeritus research professor at the UPC. In addition, he is one of the main promoters of the Congress of Virtual City and Territory, which has been held since 2002, and he directs the journal Arquitectura, Ciudad y Entorno, indexed in Scopus and WoS (Q2).
His influence extends to collaborations in doctoral programs at various universities both in Spain and abroad. Currently, he co-directs, together with Dr. Blanca Arellano, the Professional Master in Urban Planning and Sustainability at the UPC. Throughout his career, he has directed more than 50 doctoral theses and 200 master’s theses, and is the author of more than 300 publications, including articles, books and presentations at international conferences.

Pablo Martínez Díez and Mar Santamaria Varas are urban architects and co-founders of 300.000 Km/s. Their studio explores the potential of big data and new computing paradigms to improve urban analysis, strategic planning and decision-making. Their pioneering work in the field of urban planning has been recognised for its innovative nature with the 2023 UIA Patrick Abercrombie Award, the 2019 S+T+ARTS Award from the European Commission, the 2019 Spanish Urban Planning Award and the 2020 Catalonia Urban Planning Award, among others. They have also had stable ties over the last ten years to different academic institutions and have exhibited their work in international cultural institutions, as well as regularly participating in leading debates and conferences in the sector.

PUIG
Miquel Puig Raposo holds a PhD in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona and has completed studies at the Complutense University, MIT and the J.F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He has an outstanding professional career in both the public and private sectors. He was Secretary of Economic Affairs of the Generalitat de Catalunya between 2022 and 2024, and previously held the position of General Director of the Consortium of University Services of Catalonia (2012-2020). In the private sector, he headed Abertis Airports SL (2004-2007) and has been an independent consultant and member of investment committees of various venture capital companies.
In the academic field, he was an associate professor at the Pompeu Fabra University (2001-2010), where he taught Applied Economics, and a professor of Economic Theory at the University of Barcelona (1980-1984). Throughout his career, he has published several books on economics, such as Modernitzar Catalunya (2001) and Els salaris de la ira (2021). He has also contributed chapters to collective works and has participated regularly as a collaborator in the media.

Tsz Lok Ng (Jeffrey) is a Chartered Town Planner and the former Principal Planning Officer at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council of the United Kingdom. He has substantial planning experience in local planning authorities. Jeffrey is now working at the National Health Services Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board as Primary Care Lead – Estates. Jeffrey was elected as Young Planners Trustee of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Chair of the RTPI Young Planners Chairs Committee and also the Vice Chairs of the RTPI Membership and Ethics Committee and Nominations Sub-Committee in 2021 to 2023. Jeffrey is the winner of the RTPI South East Young Planner of the Year 2018 and the commended RTPI South East Young Planner of the Year 2024. He is also the Finalist of the RTPI Young Planner of the Year 2020 and 2021 and the Finalist of the “Employee of the Year 2018) at Surrey County Council of the United Kingdom.

LORENS
Prof. Piotr Lorens – Ph.D., DSc., urban planner. Gdańsk City Architect (Poland); Head of the Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdansk University of Technology. Completed post-graduate studies (as a Fulbright Fellow) at Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His professional interests include urban planning and regeneration processes, focusing on waterfront areas and public spaces. Active as a guest lecturer and visiting professor at numerous universities and conducting a professional career focusing on planning and managing urban regeneration projects. For many years involved in planning for the regeneration of the Young City in Gdansk – the large-scale urban project located on the site of the former Gdansk shipyard. Associated with international and Polish organizations: ICOMOS, TICCIH, ISOCARP, and Society of Polish Town Planners.
